After 40 years teaching human development and counseling at California State University Los Angeles, I entered professor emeritus standing in 2005. With training in leading wilderness fasts from the School of Lost Borders in Big Pine, CA, I also arrange vision fasts, meditation retreats and writing weekends for individuals, couples and groups in a remarkably quiet, secluded wilderness setting at Chimera Springs.
